City of Rocklin - New Business License Application
APPLICATIONS FOR HOME BASED BUSINESSES LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF ROCKLIN REQUIRE A HOME BUSINESS PERMIT AND CANNOT BE SUBMITTED ONLINE.
The fee is $195 for the Home Business Permit. It is best to submit the Business License Application and Home Business Permit in person at 3970 Rocklin Rd, 1st floor. The counter hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. You can also submit them by mail to 3970 Rocklin Road, Rocklin CA 95677 Attn: Home Permit. What you need to know to get started:
1. The business start date is the first date your business started operating in the City of Rocklin.
2. No payment will be required until your application has been reviewed and accepted. You will receive an email verifying the receipt of application. Within 7 business days you will receive an email notification containing the amount due, instructions on how to make payment online, your business license number, and the expiration date.
Per Assembly Bill 2184, you may protect your residential address by providing a different Service of Process address in accordance with Sections 16000.1(a)(2) and 16100.1(a)(2) of the Business and Professions Code. To do so, please Apply in person - you may not apply online.
This certificate is issued for registration and revenue purposes only. It is issued without verification that the holder is subject to, exempt from, or in compliance with any other legal requirements, including City zoning or fire codes.
